Week of 5/24/2020
Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.
First, we would like to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day Holiday. We are thankful to our veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedoms on this day and hope you were able to spend time with your families and loved ones.
This week at MHS, this Wednesday, May 27th and Thursday, May 28th we will have our next Senior item pickup in the front traffic circle from 11am - 1pm. During this time, Seniors will receive their car placards for our Senior Parade on Saturday, May 30th. Please note that each senior will receive only three placards. Anyone wanting to participate in our senior parade must have these clearly displayed in their vehicles. Seniors are asked to reference the Senior Meeting Notes document sent out last week in your Canvas Shells and to your email. As well, the schedule for our parade has been posted in the Senior Canvas shell. For questions regarding the parade or graduation needs please contact Ms. Thompson-Hairston, Dr. Moody, or your Counselor as soon as possible.
All seniors must turn in their future plans, awards, and scholarship information to Mr. Queen by this Wednesday, May 27th in order to have it included as part of our parade on Saturday. Also, any senior wishing to have their pictures included in the Senior Slide Show must turn in their pictures to Ms. Stewart by this Friday, May 29th.
All Seniors will turn in their Chromebooks and any outstanding books to MHS on Monday, June 1st. Please note this will also be a drive through pickup. In order to receive your diploma you must have all outstanding balances paid and any outstanding books or devices turned in to MHS. For questions please contact Ms. Tiffany Gammons.
This week marks the end of our grading period for this nine weeks. This week, all students will be completing any makeup assignments which are outstanding for this semester. All students must have their work completed and turned in by this Friday, May 29th.
As always, we cannot wait to see everyone online tomorrow morning ready to work. Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!!
