General Information:

  • National Honor Society Juniors - check your email for the Officer Voting Form to vote for next year's officers! Voting ends Tuesday, May 30th at midnight.


  • All library books were due last Friday. The following items are overdue by grade level: 9th - 95 items, 10th - 197 items, 11th - 232 items, and 12th - 270 items Please turn in any overdue items as soon as possible to avoid being charges.


  • The Guidance Office has the applications for the upcoming Teen Court Volunteering experience. Take a moment to visit and discover more about this opportunity!


  • As we begin the countdown to the end of the year, library materials need to be returned. Currently, there are 1,185 items out or overdue by students. The breakdown is as follows: Freshmen 220 items, Sophomores 336 items, Juniors 315 items, and Seniors 314 items. Overdue notices should have been distributed in 1st period today, Tuesday, May 9. All library books need to be returned by Friday, May 19. The race is on to see which grade level can return the most of their outstanding items. A new tally will be given Thursday, May 11.


  • We would like to take this time to congratulate the Morehead High School Robotics Team. The team traveled to Dallas Texas to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championships. There were 811 High School teams from 44 different countries from around the world. This was the teams 2nd. time making it to the World Championships and they represented Morehead High School very well. The team won the Energy Award. This is only the second award won by a North Carolina school in the history of the VEX Robotics World Championships. The Energy Award recognizes outstanding enthusiasm and excitement at the event. Key criteria of the Energy Award are: -The team interview demonstrates effective communication skills, teamwork, professionalism, and a student-centered ethos -The team maintains a high level of enthusiasm and excitement throughout the event -The team exhibits a passion for the robotics competition that enriches the event experience for all Winning this award at the World Championships is an amazing feat and a tremendous honor. Way to go Panther Robotics!
