Dr. Moody's Weekly Message

Weekly Message

Week of 4/19/20

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.

Over the past few weeks we have been collecting data as to the number of students who are participating in our online coursework while we are on this extended absence.  We are glad to report that the overwhelming majority of our students at MHS are actively participating in their coursework and are doing an outstanding job. While we wish that we could all be in the building together each day, we want to thank you for your assistance in ensuring our students do not fall behind while we are out of the physical building.  If your student has not accessed Canvas or is having any issues accessing any of the material, please reach out to their teachers through email.

Also, the building will be open to outside visitors tomorrow, April 20th from 10am - 2pm.  Anyone needing assistance outside of that time needs to make arrangements with Admin to meet at school.

Report cards for the 3rd quarter will be mailed to all families tomorrow, April 20th.  We will not have additional copies on hand for pick up and ask that you either check your student’s Canvas shell or wait for the report cards to come in the mail.  Again, all report cards will be mailed out from MHS tomorrow, April 20th.

Finally, our next senior cap and gown pickup will be on Monday, April 27th from 10am - 12pm in the traffic circle outside of the Auditorium.  This will be a curbside pickup. Please note that all Seniors wishing to get a cap and gown must have a zero balance with Herff Jones, payments can be made online at Herffjones.com.

As always, we cannot wait to see everyone online tomorrow morning, ready to work.

Thank you for your time, stay safe and healthy, and Go Panthers!!
