Dr. Moody's Weekly Message

Weekly Message

Week of 4/26/2020

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.

First, I would like to apologize for the multiple messages sent tonight; however, I felt it important to send the message regarding graduation plans to Seniors separately.

Now for this week’s weekly message.  For the remainder of this school year our students will continue working online through Canvas.  As we have had great participation in our online courses we ask that you continue to encourage your student to stay current on all of their work.  As well, recent changes in regards to grading policies across the State of North Carolina will be shared in detail with students and their families in the coming days as we receive more guidance from our district office.

Also, this year we will be creating a virtual senior slideshow for our senior class.  Parents of seniors are asked to please email 5-6 photos of their senior to Ms. Krista Stewart by May 8th in order to be included in the slideshow.

Seniors are also asked to please take a moment to complete the required Graduate Survey that was posted in the MHS 12th Grade Students Canvas Shell on Tuesday, April 21st. This is mandatory for you to complete as the information will be used for graduation/year end reporting.  Please contact your school counselor if you have any questions or concerns regarding the survey.

Finally, our Yearbooks are arriving on campus soon and there are currently only 25 left.  Any student wishing to get a yearbook this year must email Ms. Krista Stewart as soon as possible to secure theirs.

As always, we cannot wait to see everyone online tomorrow morning ready to work.

Thank you for your time, stay safe and healthy in this time apart from one another, and Go Panthers!!
