Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message. First, we would like to congratulate Jared Thomas, Ephram Biggs, Mekhi Hairston, Aiden White, and Cole Pritchard for qualifying for the State Tournament this past weekend. An additional congratulations goes to Jared Thomas who gained a second place medal in the championship rounds and Ephram Biggs who finished in 4th place. Congratulations to our Panther wrestlers and great job!


This Tuesday, February 22nd our Health Science Academy will host a virtual parent information night from 6:00 - 7:30pm via Zoom. Please help spread the word to any interested students wishing to apply to our MHS Health Science Academy.

This Wednesday, February 23rd at 6:00pm we will host a Senior Panther Parent Night in the MHS Student Center. Parents of seniors are highly encouraged to join this important meeting to discuss important dates and senior events moving forward for the remainder of this year. Ms. Sarah Harb, our MHS College Advisor will also be on hand to discuss any college needs with parents and to assist with FAFSA questions.


Also, this Wednesday, February 23rd; we will be hosting an event called “RCC and Beyond: Next Steps After Graduation” from 11:30am-2 pm in the MHS Cafeteria before and during lunch periods.

During this time, we will have representatives from RCC including admissions, financial aid, and various program areas. For those students interested in joining the workforce, RockATOP Works and Vocational Rehabilitation representatives will also be in attendance. Additionally, military recruiters will be available for interested students who have any questions about joining the armed forces. Ms. Harb our MHS College Advisor will also be present to assist with FAFSA. Parents and seniors are especially encouraged to attend as our focus of this event is to ensure all our MHS Panthers graduate with a passionate plan for their future!

Very few extras will be available for purchase when they arrive this spring. For any questions regarding yearbooks, please contact Ms. Krista Stewart as soon as possible.
