Message from Dr. Moody

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.


We would like to congratulate our Advanced Theatre students for their outstanding performances in last week’s NCTC Championships. The following students received honors as a result of their performances:

  • Barbizon Excellence in Design & Production - Crew Leadership - Kera Ours, Donnie Hart, and Edwin Cantu

  • Barbizon Outstanding Achievement in Design & Production - Stage Management - Edwin Cantu.

  • Excellence in Acting - Donnie Hart, Nick Williams, and Isaac Ponce.

  • Excellence in Stage Construction - Edwin Cantu

  • Festival Spirit Award.

Congratulations to these Panthers and great job in representing our school so well.

Also, this past Friday two of our Panther Student Athletes signed National Letters of Intent. Maddie Boothe signed with Western Carolina University for softball and Hayden Freise also signed with Western Carolina University for baseball. Congratulations and great job!

This Monday, November 15th at 9:00am we will host the Eden Chamber of Commerce, our community leaders members for the ribbon cutting ceremony in our newly renovated media center.

Also, underclassmen picture makeups will take place this Thursday, November 18th in the auditorium lobby.

We invite you to join us this Friday, November 19th in the cafeteria starting at 4:00 for the Eden Kiwanis Club Annual Pancake Supper event.

Finally, this Saturday, November 20th we invite everyone to please join us for our anniversary celebration of the Dwayne Best Auditorium starting at 6:00pm. Our theatre arts, band, chorus, and visual arts students will perform to celebrate the anniversary of the Dwayne Best Auditorium.
