Weekly Message

Week of 12/13/20

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.

First we would like to thank each of you who assisted in ensuring that your student attended our required Say Something Anonymous Training last week. If your student was not able to attend please have them email their guidance counselor. Also, we will be posting a video recording of the training in Canvas over the coming days for any student who was absent last week. If your student needs to access the app it is available on our school’s homepage.

Also, this week we will be posting the EOC / CTE testing schedule on our school website, please make sure to view the testing letter with important dates for testing in our EOC / CTE courses.

Teacher made exams will take place upon our return from the Christmas Holiday Break. Students with teacher made exams will take their 1st and 4th period class exams online on Wednesday, January 6th. 2nd and 5th period exams will take place on Thursday, January 7th and January 8th will serve as makeup day for any student who missed their teacher made exam. All days of teacher made exams will serve as regular school days. Please note that exam exemption requirements including attendance requirements are also in place for this semester. Please ensure your student conferences with their teacher regarding whether or not they have exempted the teacher made exam for their course this week.

Finally, this Friday, December 18th will begin our Christmas Holiday Break. Students will operate on a modified early release schedule this Friday with all classes ending at 1:30pm. Please check our school website and your student’s Canvas shells for our modified schedule of the day. Christmas Break will go through January 4th for all students with everyone returning to Plan C online on Tuesday, January 5th. We hope that you and your family have a safe and wonderful holiday break and thank you for all of your support of our school and student’s success.

As always, we cannot wait to see everyone online tomorrow morning, on time and ready to work.

Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!!
