Weekly Message from Dr. Moody
Week of 3/21/21
Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.
Underclassmen pictures will take place this week, on Monday, March 22nd all A day underclassmen will take their pictures and B day students will take pictures on Thursday, March 25th. All underclassmen need to check their Canvas accounts for a schedule with their times for taking pictures. Any student arriving to campus for pictures needs to report directly to the new gym lobby for check in and must wear an approved face covering. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Krista Stewart as soon as possible.
This Monday, March 22nd at 6:30pm we will have our makeup for Homecoming. Please come out and support our Panthers as they take on NorthEast Guilford High School and see our Homecoming Queen and King being crowned at half time. Tickets are $9 and anyone with a pre purchased pass needs to enter through the Press Box Gate only.
This Tuesday, March 23rd our 10th grade students will be on campus for the Pre-Act and any 11th grade student who has not taken the ACT will be on campus for the makeup session. Please note that all students who are coming to test need to arrive no later than 8:30am in order to start the testing session on time. As we will be using our entire staff for testing, Tuesday, March 23rd will serve as a remote learning day for all MHS students.
All seniors and their families are invited to our second senior class meeting this Tuesday, March 23rd via Zoom starting at 6:00pm. Please join me as we discuss important information regarding senior events and graduation plans for this year.
Finally, all students who are currently working on credit recovery from the first semester on Canvas are reminded that all work must be completed by March 31st in order to receive credit. As we move into the final quarter of this year we ask that you please make sure to check your students' Canvas account daily to ensure they are up to date on grades and attendance.
As always, we cannot wait to see everyone on time tomorrow morning, ready to work. Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!!
