Weekly Message from Dr. Moody
Week of 5/2/21
Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.
First, we would like to thank all of our staff, students, and families who made our 2021 Senior Prom a huge success. Thank you for all of your hard work and creating such a memorable night for our Senior Panthers and their guests.
Parents of students who are coming on campus for in person learning are reminded to please drop off students in the front traffic circle each day and not in the back of the school.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week here at MHS! We want to thank all of our teachers for all of their dedication and hard work in such a challenging year. Please take a moment this week and thank your teachers for all they do to make MHS a special place.
AP Exams begin this week at MHS in the Media Center. Students need to come on time for all exams. Please check your Canvas Shells and your student email accounts for dates and times of all exams. Also, our MHS Final exam schedule has been posted in Canvas and on our MHS website, all families are reminded to please check this schedule for when our exams are taking place this Spring semester.
Senior Walks to all of our feeder schools will take place next week on Thursday, May 13th. Also, our Senior Awards Parade will take place on Saturday, May 22nd. Specific times for arrival and schedules will be coming to student emails this week. Any senior who does not have a cap and gown will unfortunately not be able to participate in these events. If you have not ordered your cap and gown please do so as soon as possible at HerffJones.com and select Morehead High School. If any families need assistance with ordering of caps and gowns please make sure to reach out to Ms. Thompson-Hairston as soon as possible.
As always, we cannot wait to see everyone on time tomorrow morning ready to work.
Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!!
