Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.


Rockingham County Schools is seeking your feedback, posted on our MHS Website is the RCS Title I Survey. We are asking that you please complete this survey in order to provide MHS and Rockingham County Schools with feedback on our programs and direction.


This Thursday, May 13th we are excited to have our 2021 MHS Senior Walk to all of our feeder schools. All Seniors participating must arrive at the MHS Auditorium by 11:00am. Also, any Senior wishing to participate must have a cap and gown and wear an approved face covering.


Also, this Thursday, May 13th at 6:00pm Rockingham County Schools will host the RCS Parent Advisory Council General Meeting via Zoom. Any parent wishing to participate must sign up through the Rockingham County Schools homepage. If you have any questions, please contact me as soon as possible to sign up.


As we quickly approach the end of this school year we ask that you please check on your students grades and progress as much as possible. If you have any questions regarding grades or attendance please contact your student’s teacher or guidance counselor as soon as possible.


Finally, in the coming days we will be sending out letters to any student who has failed a course in the first semester or the third quarter of this semester indicating which week they are to attend summer school this summer. Any student wishing not to attend summer school must complete all makeup work or credit recovery requirements by no later than June 1st. If you have any questions, please contact your guidance counselor as soon as possible.
