Week of 9/5/21
Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message. First, all RCS Schools will be closed for students and staff tomorrow, September 6th in observance of Labor Day. We hope that you all enjoy this day off and take time to relax and spend time with your families.
Attention parents of seniors. All 12th grade students are required to have a booster dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV). This immunization requirement became effective during the 2020-2021 school year. An updated immunization record is due at school by no later than September 21, 2021. If your student has not already received this immunization booster, please make plans now by contacting our Student Health Center, your student’s health care provider or the Rockingham County Health Department. For more information, please contact our school nurse Ms. Kasey Mitchell as soon as possible.
All students and families are reminded to please ensure your student arrives on time each day and to each class period. Students who have four or more absences within the nine weeks grading period will be given ISS. If your student has to be late due to a doctor’s appointment, please make sure to provide documentation so it will be counted as excused.
Finally, interim reports will go home with students the week of September 20th. Please take time this week to check your student’s grades in Canvas as we will be working to contact any students who may be struggling over the next few weeks.
As always, we cannot wait to see everyone here on time, Tuesday morning, ready to work. Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!
