Week of 9/12/21
Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.
First, we would like to take a moment to offer our thoughts and prayers to all of the individuals and families who lost their lives or loved ones on September 11, 2001. In remembrance of this tragic event in our nation’s history our flags flew at half staff on campus this weekend.
Attention parents of seniors. All 12th grade students are required to have a booster dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV). This immunization requirement became effective during the 2020-2021 school year. An updated immunization record is due at school by no later than September 21, 2021. If your student has not already received this immunization booster, please make plans now by contacting our Student Health Center, your student’s health care provider or the Rockingham County Health Department. For more information, please contact our school nurse Ms. Kasey Mitchell as soon as possible.
This Thursday, September 16th we invite all families of seniors to join us in the auditorium at 6:00pm for our first Senior Parent Night. During this meeting our counselors, career development coordinator, and college advisor will provide families with important information for this year and preparing for college. We hope that you can join us.
Finally, interim reports will go out to students the week of September 20th. We ask that you please check your students' grades in Canvas regularly and contact their teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
As always we cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow morning, on time and ready to work.
Thank you for your time, have a great evening and Go Panthers!
