Week of 9/19/21
Good Evening Panther Families this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.
Attention parents of seniors. All 12th grade students are required to have a booster dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV). This immunization requirement became effective during the 2020-2021 school year. An updated immunization record is due at school by no later than this Tuesday, September 21, 2021. If your student has not already received this immunization booster, please make plans now by contacting our Student Health Center, your student’s health care provider or the Rockingham County Health Department. For more information, please contact our school nurse Ms. Kasey Mitchell as soon as possible.
Interim Progress reports will go out to all students this week through Canvas. Please make sure to check your student’s Canvas account to see their academic progress in each class. Please notify your student’s teacher or guidance counselor if you would like to schedule a parent conference in the coming days.
Parking passes will go on sale at each lunch starting on Monday, September 20th through Friday, October 1st. The fee for parking passes is $20 and forms are available in the main office. On Monday, October 4th any student parking on campus must have a school issued parking pass.
This Wednesday, September 24th our Fellowship of Christian Athletes students will be hosting the “FCA See You at the Pole” prayer event starting at 8:00am on the front lawn by our flag poles. All students are invited to join us in this event.
This Friday, September 24th all RCS schools will be closed for students as this day will serve as our first optional teacher workday for this year. This is a non-school day so please note that no assignments will be given on this day.
Homecoming week is fast approaching and will take place starting on Monday, September 27th. Each day's theme for this year has been posted around MHS, on our Student Council Social Media pages, and in our Grade Level Canvas shells. We hope that you will encourage your students to get involved for this fun and exciting week.
As always, we cannot wait to see everyone on time tomorrow morning, ready to work.
Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!
