Week of 2/13/22
Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.
Valentine's Day is tomorrow Monday, Feb. 14th! Morehead High School WILL accept Valentine's Day deliveries in the conference room near the front office on Monday, Feb. 14th from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. ONLY. In order to cause minimum disruption, deliveries will not be accepted in the front office. Please be sure that every item is labeled with both the recipient's name and the giver's name to ensure the correct delivery. Parents and friends who plan to deliver gifts should tell their student in advance so the student knows to pick up the gift. We cannot guarantee that items will be held after Monday if a student fails to pick up their gifts. Students who have items to pick up will be released at the end of the day in time to retrieve their gifts and get to their bus or car for their ride home. Please remember that balloons and glass vases ARE NOT allowed on Rockingham County School buses for safety reasons. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Hensley in Student Services at MHS.
Registration for the next driver's education class will open at 8:00 a.m. this Monday, February 14th. Please look in your Student Body Canvas shell that morning for the registration form or check in your email. If you have any questions email Ms. Sheila Thompson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Spring Sports practices are beginning this week. There will be a sportsmanship meeting this Thursday, February 17th @ 6.00pm in the gym. All parents and athletes need to attend.
Attention Juniors, all 11th graders will take the ACT on Tuesday, March 1st. Please make sure to check your Canvas shells and our school website for additional study guides for this important exam.
As always we cannot wait to see everyone on time tomorrow morning, ready to work. Thank you for your time, have a great evening and Go Panthers!!
