Weekly Message

Week of 5/8/22

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message. First, we would like to wish all of our MHS mom’s a Happy Mother’s Day. We thank you for all of your love and support of our students and our school. Thank you and Happy Mother’s Day!!

Attention Juniors, all 12th grade students are required to have a booster dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV). Please note that an updated immunization record is due at school by no later than September 27, 2022. If your student has not already received this immunization booster, please make plans now by contacting our Student Health Center, your student’s health care provider or the Rockingham County Health Department. For more information, please contact our school nurse.

Yearbooks are in and will be distributed Tuesday, May 17th! All students who have pre-purchased a yearbook will be invited to a yearbook signing party with ice cream during 5th period. If you would still like to purchase a yearbook, you can purchase it at jostensyearbooks.com. There are only 47 copies remaining and once we run out, no additional copies can be ordered.

This Monday and Tuesday we will distribute honor cords to Seniors in the cafeteria during each lunch period. Please note that cords must be paid for prior to picking them up. For any questions, please contact Ms. Nicole Gardner as soon as possible.

Also, this Monday and Tuesday, Senior Will Twilla will be representing MHS in the Men’s Golf State Championships in Pinehurst, NC. We wish Will good luck and are extremely excited to see him do well.

The MHS Softball and Baseball teams will begin their playoff march this Tuesday, May 10th. Pairings will be shared from the NCHSAA on Monday afternoon.

Finally, this Friday, May 13th our 2022 Senior Class will participate in the annual Senior Walk at all of our feeder schools here in Eden, finishing here at MHS. We hope you will come out to support all of our Seniors in this exciting tradition.

As always, we cannot wait to see everyone on time tomorrow morning, ready to work. Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!
