Weekly Message

Week of 5/22/22

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.

This week marks the beginning of our teacher made and EOC exams for the second semester. This Monday, May 23rd students will take their teacher-made exams for their 1st and 4th period classes. On Tuesday, May 24th students will take any teacher made exams for 2nd and 5th period. Makeup teacher exams will take place on Thursday, May 26th and our first period EOC exams will take place on Friday, May 27th. For our full exam schedule for both teacher made and EOC / CTE exams please visit our school website or your student’s Canvas shell. Please note that beginning Friday, May 27th any student who does not have an EOC or CTE exam does not need to be on campus during the day.

This Wednesday, May 28th we want to invite everyone to our Senior Awards Ceremony starting at 9:00am in the auditorium. Following our awards ceremony we will show the Senior Slideshow, for any parent wishing to get their Senior’s picture in the slideshow please contact Ms. Krista Stewart as soon as possible. Senior Day will be capped off with our Senior Cookout hosted by the MHS Student Council at the softball field immediately after school.

As we quickly approach the end of this semester, we ask that you please make sure to check your student’s Canvas shell and grades on a regular basis. Any student who has failed an EOC or class this year will be asked to participate in our Summer Bridge Academy from June 13th to June 28th. Over the past few weeks guidance counselors and administrators have been meeting with any student expected to attend this program. Please note that forms have been sent home with any student being asked to attend and need to be signed and returned to MHS as soon as possible. For any questions, please contact your student’s guidance counselor or administrator as soon as possible.

As always, we cannot wait to see everyone on time tomorrow morning, ready to work. Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!
