Week of 5/29/22


Good Evening Panther Families this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message.


All RCS schools will be closed this Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day.


Our final exam schedule will continue on Tuesday, May 31st with 2nd period EOC / CTE exams, 4th period CTE / EOC exams will take place on Wednesday, June 1st, and 5th period EOC / CTE exams will take place on Thursday, June 2nd. Any student who missed their final exam will report on Friday, June 3rd for makeups. Please note that ONLY students who have an EOC or CTE exam need to report to school this entire week. For our full exam schedule please check your student’s Canvas account or our school website.


This Wednesday, June 1st all MHS Seniors who wish to participate in our Capping Ceremony on Sunday, June 5th must be present for our rehearsal in the new gym starting at 2:30pm. Please note that any student who misses this practice will not be allowed to participate in the capping ceremony.


This Thursday, June 2nd starting at 4:00pm our new Superintendent, John Stover III will be on campus from 4:00pm to 5:30pm for a meet and greet with our Eden Community. All community members are invited to attend as we are excited to welcome our new Superintendent of Rockingham County Schools to MHS.


Finally, this Sunday, June 5th at 5:00pm in the New Gym we are excited to announce the return of our MHS Capping Ceremony for our Class of 2022. Congratulations to all of our graduating Seniors on an outstanding four years here at MHS.
