Weekly Message From Dr. Moody

Weekly Message

Week of 6/5/22

Good Evening Panther Families, this is Ryan Moody, Principal of Morehead High School with this week’s weekly message. First, we would like to thank you for all of your support of our students and school throughout this year. We are extremely grateful for your dedication to MHS and know how much you are appreciated.

Each day this week will serve as a teacher workday for all RCS schools. If you have any questions regarding your student’s grades or need assistance, please contact your student’s teacher or guidance counselor as soon as possible.

Any student who was not proficient on their Math 1, Math 3, English 2, or Biology exam from last week will be given an incomplete for their final exam grade and be asked to retest. Starting on June 13th we will have our EOC Retest / Summer Bridge Academy for these students and any student who has failed a class. Please note that the retest will allow these students to become proficient and improve their final grade for the semester. If you have any questions please contact your student’s guidance counselor or teacher as soon as possible.

This Wednesday, June 8th at 10:00am we will have graduation practice in Panther Stadium. All Seniors are reminded that this practice is a required event and you must be present in order to participate in graduation. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Alyson Key or Ms. Nicole Gardner as soon as possible. Following graduation practice all Seniors will receive their graduation tickets. Each Senior will receive 10 tickets; however, more are available for pickup if needed.

This Thursday, June 9th starting at 7:30pm we will hold Graduation Exercises for our MHS Class of 2022. We are so proud of these seniors and the positive impact which they have made on MHS and our community. Please note any individual wishing to attend must have a ticket in order to enter the stadium.

As we close out this school year, we want to again thank you for all of your support for our students and MHS. Thank you for your time, have a great evening, and Go Panthers!!
