Weekly Message - 2/25/24

Good Evening-  This is Lucas Brooks, Senior Baseball Player,  with this week’s Morehead Message.

-We would like to congratulate Cole Prichard for winning the 2A State Championship in Wrestling.  This is a great accomplishment.  You make Morehead proud.

-We will be having our annual Title 1 event on Monday, 2/26 at 5:00 in the auditorium.  This is a great opportunity to meet your students’ teachers and pick up their progress report.

-2/27 is required for all 11th graders to take the ACT.  This attendance is very important.  Testing will begin at 8:30.  We will allow for normal check outs after all testing is complete.  Please make sure your 11th grader attends.

-Tuesday will be a remote day for all students with the exception of 11th graders.  Non-11th graders are asked to work online with assignments on CANVAS.  You will not be allowed on campus if you are not taking the ACT.

-Doors open at 7:45 AM.  The Cafeteria will be open for only those eating breakfast at 8:10.  The school day will begin at 8:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM.  Please have your student here on time.

-We ask students to not have outside food on campus.  If food or drinks are dropped off, it must be in a non-logo bag or cup and it will not be delivered to the student until their lunch period.  Students will not be able to leave class to pick up food.

- All North Carolina 12th grade students are required to obtain the MCV Vaccine, this will be a booster dose.  This immunization requirement is due at the beginning of next school year.  Please make plans for your student soon by contacting your his/her health care provider or the Rockingham County Health Department, or the Student Health Center. If your student has already received this immunization, please ensure our school nurse has the updated record.  For more information, please contact our school nurse.

-Yearbooks- Time is running out to purchase and guarantee a copy of the 2024 yearbook.  We cannot guarantee a yearbook unless you preordered before February 23.
